Ingredients Needed

  1. 2 tablespoons (28 g) butter
  2. 2 tablespoons (20 g) minced onion
  3. cup (120 ml) bourbon
  4. cup (120 ml) No-Sugar Ketchup
  5. cup (60 ml) cider vinegar
  6. teaspoon orange extract
  7. cup (60 ml) sugar-free pancake syrup
  8. 1 tablespoon (15 ml) blackstrap molasses
  9. 2 tablespoons (3 g) Splenda
  10. 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  11. green pepper, minced
  12. teaspoon cayenne

Cooking Instructions

In a nonreactive saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and saute the onion for 5 minutes or so.

Add everything else, stir it up, and bring it to a simmer.

Let it cook for 7 to 10 minutes.

Serving Yield

Makes roughly 1 cup (240 ml), or 8 servings of 2 tablespoons
