- 3 cups (450 g) chopped turnips, cut into small chunks
- 2 tablespoons (28 g) butter
- small onion
- 1 teaspoon Splenda
- teaspoon liquid beef bouillon concentrate
- teaspoon paprika
Steam or microwave the turnip chunks until tender?I steam mine in the microwave for about 7 minutes on high?and then drain.
Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over medium heat.
Add the turnips and onion and saute until the onion is limp.
Stir in the Splenda, bouillon concentrate, and paprika, coating all the turnips, and saute for just another minute or two.
Each with 12 grams of carbohydrates and 3 grams of fiber, for a total of 9 grams of usable carbs and 2 grams of protein.
