- 2 pounds (910 g) asparagus
- cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
Break the ends off the asparagus where they snap naturally.
Steam or microwave the asparagus for 3 to 4 minutes or just until the color brightens.
(You want these even less done than tender-crisp.
